The Images in this body of work represent many decades and moods of a life behind the camera lens. The work features several continents, depicting the iconic as well as the everyday scenes so familiar to all.
But scenes, people and life are never one dimensional. They are much more textured and unfold before us in terms of color, movement and emotion.
In today's "digital darkroom" these subtle nuances which interpret ambiance are reflected in various ways. Vintage images, many which are decades old, can now be digitized. Details not visible in the printing processes of years ago,
show up like magic with the new technologies. Textures from nature can be interwoven with the original image to reflect the mood and ambiance of the time and place.
Many of these photos were originally captured with Kodachrome or black & white film. They can now be remastered and printed in the darkroom -- yes, using silver nitrate, UV light and sodium chloride. The possibilities are endless!
